Pressing Instructions

•••••••••• SCREEN PRINT TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS ••••••••••

Our screen print transfers must be pressed with a heat press.

We recommend following the below steps to ensure proper adhesion of our original formula / single color screen print transfers:

  1. Set heat press to 325°
  2. Pre-press the garment for 3-5 seconds
  3. Place transfer (design side down) on the garment
  4. Press for 7-10 seconds with heavy pressure
  5. Peel while hot, but slowly to ensure complete adhesion.  If the plastisol ink is lifting, re-cover and re-press for another 7-10 seconds.

We recommend following the below steps to ensure proper adhesion of our high heat full color soft formula transfers:

  1. Set heat press to 350° (NOTE: each press varies! Your press may need to be set as high as 375)
  2. Pre-press the garment for 3-5 seconds
  3. Place transfer (design side down) on the garment
  4. Press for 7-10 seconds with heavy pressure
  5. Peel while hot, but slowly to ensure complete adhesion.  If the plastisol ink is lifting, re-cover and re-press for another 7-10 seconds.

 

We recommend following the below steps to ensure proper adhesion of our clear film screen print transfers:

  1. Set heat press to 320° (NOTE: each press varies! Your press may need to be set as high as 375)
  2. Pre-press the garment for 3-5 seconds... if pressing on a hoodie or other heavy fabric you will want to use a pressing pillow
  3. Place transfer (design side down) on the garment
  4. Press for 10 seconds with medium pressure
  5. Peel while hot, but slowly to ensure complete adhesion.  If the ink is lifting, re-cover and re-press for another 5 seconds.

We recommend following the below steps to ensure proper adhesion of our puff screen print transfers:

  1. Set heat press to 325° (NOTE: each press varies! Your press may need to be set as high as 375°)
  2. Pre-press the garment for 3-5 seconds
  3. Place transfer (design side down) on the garment (do not use a pressing pillow)
  4. Press for 8-10 seconds with heavy pressure (do not cover with a teflon sheet or parchment paper)
  5. Peel while hot

*Garment must not be washed or worn within 24 hours of being pressed.  

*We always recommend washing inside out and in cold water, as well as drying on low heat, also inside out.

•••••••••• SUBLIMATION TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS ••••••••••

For Apparel:

  1. Set heat press to 390°
  2. Lint roll the front of the shirt to clear all fuzzies
  3. Secure sublimation transfer to apparel using heat tape
  4. Place parchment paper or copy paper inside of the shirt (the ink from the transfer will press through the shirt if you do not put a barrier between the front and the back of the shirt)
  5. Cover with parchment paper
  6. Press with heavy pressure for 60 seconds
  7. Remove the transfer paper being cautious not to shift the paper against the material so you don't cause any ghosting

For Tumblers:

Convection oven:

  1. Set convection oven to 350°
  2. Secure sublimation transfer to tumbler using heat tape
  3. Wrap with silicone wrap
  4. Cook for 3 minutes
  5. Rotate and cook for an additional 3 minutes (make sure you use a heat glove because the tumbler will be incredibly hot)

Mug/Cup Press:

  1. Set press to 365°
  2. Secure sublimation tranfer to tumbler using heat tape
  3. Press for 1 minute with light pressure
  4. Rotate and press for an additional 1 minute (make sure you use a heat glove because the tumbler will be incredibly hot)

*Tumblers should always be hand washed without an adhesive pad and left to air dry.

 

•••••••••• DIRECT TO FILM TRANSFER (DTF) INSTRUCTIONS ••••••••••

Our DTF Transfers must be pressed with a heat press.

We recommend following the below steps to ensure proper adhesion:

  1. Set heat press to 325°
  2. Pre-press the garment for 3-5 seconds
  3. Once cooled, place transfer (ink side down) on the garment
  4. Cover with parchment paper and press for 15 seconds with heavy pressure
  5. Allow the transfer to cool completely, then slowly peel the film back
  6. If the ink is shiny and you prefer a matte look, cover with parchment paper and press for an additional 3-5 seconds
